We are a community of artists dedicated to creating magical experiences for children! Whether it is a Backyard Drama Camp, a Great Big Adventure, a Mini Adventure, a sweet Puppet show or one of our original children’s plays we are always offering something wonderful in which children can participate. We invite you to dive in and find the perfect experience for your child!

Backyard Drama Camp

Our relaxed and super fun drama camps take place in the backyard! Using a mixture of games and physical theater devising techniques we create shows that are unique, funny and engaging for the whole family to watch. Appropriate for children ages 6-14.

Adventure Summer Camp

Enter a make believe world with Willow Walker, of the Tree Dwellers and Karnin, of the Fire Keepers and learn authentic survival skills! These characters from the Great Big Adventure will guide the children through building shelter, making fire, silent stalking and much more. Appropriate for children ages 8-13.

M.O.M. Spy Camp

Flora Frank is a brand new agent with the Ministry of Mystery, or M.O.M. Although enthusiastic, she needs help solving mysteries! Become a Spy in Training and join Flora for one day Adventures of Great Importance all around Los Angeles! Appropriate for ages 8-13.

The Great Big Adventure

Join us for an interactive theatrical experience your child will never forget! The Great Big Adventure is an epic story that unfolds over 3 months. This original fantasy story is played out through missives the children receive in the mail, as well as 3 gatherings during which characters from the Adventure act out the next part of the story, and the children are right in the middle of the action! Appropriate for children ages 8-12.

Puppet Shows

For over 3,000 years Puppet shows have been a cherished form of storytelling. Children of all ages become entranced by the movements and simple stories told by the puppeteer. Experience one of our original puppet shows at your child’s pre-school or kindergarten or come watch one of our delightful shows around town!

Children's Shows

We believe producing the highest quality shows for children is kind of a big deal. Our mission at Happy Chicken Theater is to create thoughtful, magical, hysterical, informational, transformational theater for young audiences!
